Your World is Your Oyster
I once had a friend who had been trying to attain a lucid dream for quite a while. Finally after weeks of practice he entered his first lucid dream.
I asked him what he had done in his dream, expecting to hear stories of wonderment.
He turned to me and said “I found a newspaper and started to read it. I noticed that the words kept changing. (Common in dreams). After about two minutes, I realized that I was wasting the dream and at that point woke up.”
So after all his efforts, he finally had a lucid dream and then…… read a newspaper!
I laughed at this when he told me because it is quite common for people to spend a lot of effort trying to have a lucid dream and then when they do have one, simply not having any ideas what to do because they haven’t fore thought about it.
As the title of this section says, “Your world is your oyster”. This means that you can do basically anything your imagination can think of.
There are a few common themes that people seem to follow so I will cover those first.
Flying
I do not know why, but many people seem to naturally start to fly when they become lucid. It’s a really simple thing to try.
Some people fly like Superman, some fly by flapping their arms. My technique alternates between a Superman style and for a more leisurely pace, a sort of swimming breast stroke style through the air.
The trick is to believe that you can. The minute you doubt yourself for any reason, you will fail. Flying is possible, believe it. Try jumping in the air. More often than not you will just stay there. Alternatively try launching yourself like Superman straight up. Sometimes I just lie back and float like I am in a swimming pool. Anything is possible. Find the technique that works best for you.
Make a doorway to your subconscious
I have been mastering this technique in more recent years. It is a way in which you can get a lot more from things that you have learnt (in the real world).
When you read a technical book or magazine or even a novel, there may be parts that you didn’t understand or lost track of. If you feel that you couldn’t quite grasp a storyline or mathematical formula etc. then this method is for you.
Although YOU didn’t feel as though you had grasped something properly, your subconscious may have.
In your lucid dream try and conjure up a person that represents your subconscious. Just the same way as you would conjure up a famous person. (See below) Then simply ask the questions that you wanted answers to. Hopefully your subconscious will ‘talk’ to you via this ‘person’.
I have tried this many times. Sometimes the answers you receive can be quite surprising!
Magic powers
One morning, I woke up and looked at the curtains thinking how nice it would be if they were open letting the sunlight in. At that instance, the curtains flew wide open and in came the sun.
Wow!.
I then looked at the lamp by the side of my bed. I gave a quick flick of my head to the right and the lamp flew across the room and hit the wall. “I have telekinetic powers” I thought.
Then it dawned on me. I must be dreaming, and I was. I floated up out of bed and flew out through the window on a lucid adventure.
Magic powers are a great way to exercise your newfound ability to do absolutely anything. Try moving things with your mind it’s great fun. Sometimes it’s fun to just ‘magic’ somebody away in a puff of smoke.
Walk through walls or windows
Walking through walls can be an experience. The first time I did this I just walked up to a wall and pressed my nose against it. I pushed a little harder and then felt myself easing through the brickwork.
I could feel empty space on the other side after I had pushed my arm all the way through. Eventually I ‘popped’ through and to the other side. An interesting experience.
When I float through windows (why bother opening them?) I always hear a little ‘ping’ sound when I pop through the glass. I have never understood why?
Fly into space
This can be a most exhilarating experience. When you have mastered flying, fly as fast as you can towards the sky.
Sometimes I look down as I am doing this to watch the earth fall away below my feet. Eventually I reach space itself!
I have done this many times. It is great fun sitting cross legged in space looking back at mother Earth! I usually fly back to Earth as fast as I can and stop dead just before I hit the ground. Ironically I usually wind up in my back garden. Not bad navigating!
Meet a famous person
Try calling out for your favourite movie star or pop star. This method will work better if you turn your back and then say “When I turn around, they will be there”. More often than not they are.
This method works far better than trying to get them to materialize in front of you.
Meet up with a loved one who has passed away
This is one of the more controversial things that you can do in a lucid dream although it can be one of the most profound.
I have talked to many people who have asked me if it possible to talk to a loved one who has passed away. I have actually done this myself on many occasions.
The reason that it courts controversy is because some people actually believe that they are talking to their loved ones, whilst others claim it is only a figment of their imagination.
My view on this is ‘Does it matter?’ It can be a wonderful experience to see, touch and hold somebody you hold dear in your heart. Whether they are real or not is irrelevant.
What IS real are the feelings that you experience and the elation you feel during and after the experience.
I view this as one of the most valuable experiences lucid dreaming has opened up for me.
Sexual encounters
I knew I would have to get to this part eventually. It’s the first thing I get asked when explaining to people what you can do in lucid dreams. As with anything in the lucid world, you are only limited by your imagination. If you can imagine it, you can do it!
Lucid dreams can be used to fulfill sexual fantasies or more importantly overcome sexual inhibitions.
Sexual dysfunction can often be a product of the mind. Trying out things in your own lucid world where you cannot cause harm or be harmed either emotionally or physically can be a great way of exploring your internal sexual desires.
Summary
Well, this section brings your free lucid dreaming course to a conclusion. Lucid dreaming is a wonderful gift that we can utilize.
It may seem that there is a lot of practice needed and effort required. For some this is true for others it comes more easily. Either way, the effort you put in will be rewarded many times over.
You will gain a gift that few people use. You will enter worlds that only some people can fantasize about. Above all, you will never look at dreaming the same way again.
I hope you have enjoyed this course, and I hope you have many wonderful lucid experiences in the future. Feel free to browse the rest of the site for more information and links about Lucid Dreaming.

Can’t control them?

Occasionally I’ll have a lucid dream but I can never seem to be able to fully control them. Sometimes I can fly or do little things but I can never do anything really big or have magic powers or anything. And most of my normal dreams work out like fiction and I find myself controlling the story(so to speak).
First time Lucid

I must have been really lucky or something because only 30 mins before I went to sleep did I see your website and started asking my self is this real, I done this 3 or 4 times before I went to sleep. This was the first time I found out about Lucid Dreaming too. First Attempt: First Experience Epic! It began with me in my bedroom, nothing special. Then I asked myself whether this was real and I remembered I was trying to Lucid Dream, I found I was suddenly awakened in my dream. The dreamscape became incredibly vibrant and vivid in detail. What was strange was that I got a drop down menu o what I wanted to create in my dream. I thought about moving some of the things in my room, they all moved wildly. Then I changed my dreamscape to greenery with hills and it happened. Then the place went all white almost virtual and the menu popped up again, before long after this I started to lose control saying “Give me Clarity” which worked for about a minute to find myself awake and extremely excited that it worked. 2 more Lucid dreams later although they were less vivid I awoke in the morning. Thank you for your tips I think I will continue this, I can’t wait till tonight!
Worried about lucid dreaming
Wednesday, 18 May 2011 21:16
Sean
I kinda want to try this lucid dreaming thing, but I’m really easily scared and some of the dreams I’ve had before which I can remember were really creepy such as my dad beating me and a man coming into my school with my pets and setting them on fire… I worry about what I might encounter in my lucid dreams if I do manage to achieve one. Some people have been saying things like they’ve ‘awoken’ (in the lucidity of course) to see strange animals and weird things like that. I worry about what kind of warped things my subconscious or my imagination would conjure up… What should I do?

I have been trying to have a lucid dream for about 2 months now without success. I have no trouble remembering my dreams, but for some reason no matter how strange the dream is i never actually find it strange until i wake up. does this mean that i may never have the ability to become lucid?

First Good Lucid Dream

This morning i finally had my first full lucid dream. I was with two of my best friends and I asked one of them if he could fly and he did. I got jelous and I tried to fly, but nothing worked, then i was upset and a second later I was by a restaurant, started jumping, and went flying, after flying around the restaurant for 2-3 circles, I realized I was dreaming. Wow I can hear myself dreaming through a dream, I woke up. 10 seconds later Im asleep again, new dream, and right away I asked myself if i was dreaming and something told me yes, I looked at my hands( in the dreams they are blury) this time they were looked very detailed except my left hand had some silverish to it. I said – “show me something cool” A second later I was standing on a shore of an ocean. It looked amaizingly crazy, instead of sky it was like a different colored mountains and water looked perfect and because of the sun, you can see the sun bleaches on the water, really cool. I flew over to the middle and dived in the water all the way to the bottom (about a mile deep) with a crazy speed. then I swam back and stood on the deck. My friend Valery and a famous actor. Started talking to them about how lucid dreams wear your brain out, making the point that you might have a little headache when you wake up. They told me it was true. Then actor said he had to go and dissapeared (he was in the air for some reason) then i wasnt doing anything for like 5 seconds and everything went black. I woke up. Amazing, tried falling back asleep but couldn’t. Hope tonight I’ll have another one

Who likes to fight in their dreams? I know I do! But the problem is is that sometimes, my attacks or punches dont have much of an effect. Like when im fighting my friend for fun (Since this is a dream, my friend doesnt really get hurt), my punches, uppercuts, and kicks dont effect him much. This one time, i punched my friend in the jaw to stun him, i tackled him down and punched him continuiously. He gets up and shakes it off as if it were nothing. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong and how to fix this? Please respond back!

The first time I became lucid I thought hell yeah! Free from the laws of physics and the sadomoralism of the real world I gave myself a muscular body, increased the size of my penis and put on a superhero suite. I then leaped into the air, arms stretched out like Superman. When I landed I summoned my favorite porn stars and started banging away. While banging this one chick I remember looking at myself in a mirror. Damn I looked good. I remember smiling and giving myself a thumbs up… then I woke up. Mom was calling me for dinner.

When I was little I remember having a terrifying nightmare where monsters were attacking me. I screamed and closed my eyes hoping they would go away.
They did. Was that a lucid dream? I have not had one since.
WWE Fighting Dreams!!!!!!!!

also i sometimes have fighting dreams where i try to use WWE wrestling (those of you that know what this is)moves. i really like them cuz i get to imitate their moves. i have done Spears(Edge), RKOs(Randy Orton), etc. the problem is that RKOs dont really hurt the person much. i can spear like a pro. i also realize that in dreams, the people are really light and easy to pick up, so i even do the Attitude Adjustment(John Cena). i have these dreams at least once a week or once every 2 weeks, so i try to take advantage of them and do as much as i can. If you know WWE, I would try to do these moves in a dream and fight a dream character with them. They’re very effective!

Falling asleep while still awake

The best technique to use, if you can master it, is falling asleep with your mind awake. That way you can have a lucid dream whenever you want. I’ve been able to do it for almost a month now and I practice every night I get the chance.

About talking to my unconscious, I’ve heard a good way is going to a library. I was in a crazy dream, and I simply noticed: Hey, it’s a dream! As I was expecting that for more than a week, I teleported myself to the library. Then, everything god shaky and quick! Nice I could get a book. Strange: when I planned the library, I imagined normal books, but in my dream, every page had a different color. One of the pages (the only one I could read) was yellow with the unexistant circled big word BROM. Then I started to dream normally, telling everyone about my lucid dream in my dream.

hi lauren. look at the section on reality checks and do them even if you are sure you are awake. If you keep thinking that everything seems normal just do reality checks every hour instead (although I often notice without to reality checks at all lol)

For a week I have been trying to lucid dream. I do reality checks all the time and keep a dream journal, but I have a huge problem. In dreams when I do reality checks, no matter what is happening I will accept as reality. For example: I was an inventor in a robot suit fighting off aliens. I looked around and said, am i dreaming, looked around again, and concluded that it was real life. How can I fix this?

I think I had my first Lucid Dream last night! My character was in a room with a couple of other people and she looked at her watch, the time was changing really quickly, and she shouted, I’m in a dream!!! She instantly went to the nearest thing she could touch and move and played with these magnets. It only lasted for a few seconds but I loved it, I can’t wait to do more extreme things.

Lucid dream

I had a crazy lucid dream about a week ago.
I started in a forest just roaming around kinda aimlessly. It was not until i seen a giant lion(much bigger than a normal lion) and that’[s when i relized i was dreaming. Then the lion started comming after me and out of hesitation i somehow managed without directly thinking about it forming a beam in my left hand that bleasted like a kamahamaha from dbz and it obliterated the lion. Then from there i started thinking what else i could do. I never got around to flying because i was to busy being ammused by lifting all the trees within my site into i giant tornado like vortex and spun them around for awhile then fused them together into a giant tree witch i ran up the side of to the top then made a branch extend what seemed like thousands of miles but ran at insane speed(i would geuss i was running a few thousand miles per hour). At the end there was a giant ocean witch i jumped into and a dolphin let me get on his back and started heading to see. Then things started to get blurry and i noticed i was drifting back to reality. I went from staring at the back of this amazing dolphin to my mom bitching at me for kicking the wall for and waking her lol.

Its weird. I spent almost 3 months trying to experience lucid dreams, and i always wanted to fly. Finally, i had my first lucid experience, i realize i can control myself so i kinda run toward a bridge to fly, just as i was going to jump, the bridge disappeared and i fell to a sea and im drowning. I felt i can’t breath so i woke up catching my breath. The strange thing is when i woke up i am still cathching my breath. Last night i dream somebody died, i got full access to ——— my feelings…. suddenly i was so depressed and sad…
when i woke up, im feeling the same thing, the whole day! now i don’t want it anymore… its so depressing… what can u suggest so i can stope feeling this?
not sure!

… And it only lasted about 15 seconds. I freaked out. I didn’t know lucid dreaming would be so… Clear.
I found that if I leave music playing, it helps remind me I’m dreaming mid-dream. Once I realized I was dreaming, I put my hands in front of my face, and noticed that things didn’t automatically blur behind or in front of them. It was all one single picture, all focused at once. I then realized that I had complete control over everything, but in a different way – By my imagination.
I awoke out of nervousness. Damn.

I am a lucid dreamer. I didn’t know that my awareness of dreaming is not normal, but now that I know this it is confussing me. I have been reading alot about lucid dreamers but I have not found anyone who has the ability to do what I do in dreams.
As I dream I can change anything and everything like I want it. If I am dreaming that I am at a place I don’t want to be I can change the place into somewhere I want to be. Can anyone reading this do that? I can change the colour of things and I can also change the people in my dreams. If I dream of someone I can deside that this dream will be better if it wasn’t her, so I change this person into someone I want it to be. Lastnight I had a dream about a woman I don’t know, she reminded me of my friend so I changed the woman into my friend. Can all lucd dreamers do that?
Like I said, I didn’t know it was anything special until someone told me that my dreams are not normal. I have been dreaming that way as far back as I can remember.
Sometimes I am not sure I even like being a lucid dreamer. I don’t like getting hurt in my dreams and then waking up and haveing the same pain I had in my dream. Is that even lucidity?
I try to not always change my dreams, sometomes I just like going with it, but I alwys feel like I should change it, because there is so many people who work hard to have lucid drems. I was born a lucid dreamer.
I am keeping a dream journal now, It helps alot. I am still confused by the fact that I can’t find anyone who changes their dreams like I do.
If someone is reading this that has the same control over their dreams as I have, please let me know.

Person called Me!!, you asked if the green circles stuff means you’re doing well. I get them every time I meditate deeply. Nearly every time i meditate. They are just a sign of a trance. When you see them, start imagining part of a dream in detail – you might start lucid dreaming…
I had to say this!
Thursday, 19 August 2010 15:22
ME!!
I had something I just HAD to say, so here it goes: I think that I actually had a shared lucid dream. I was walking with a friend to this room, and I thought, “Okay, I’m lucid.” I do not know WHEN I became lucid or HOW the friend even GOT THERE, but I might have become lucid at the very beginning so I didn’t feel that rush of excitement like usual. If I WAS lucid then this would be my first full lucid dream! But I was with a friend in this room, and I was trying to convince them they were dreaming. (I must have been lucid or else how would I KNOW we were dreaming?) Finally, I asked him/her, “How did you get here?” My friend didn’t know, and thus became lucid! I KNOW my friend wasn’t a dream character because how could I have to convince a DREAM CHARACTER that he/she was dreaming? That’s impossible! Because dream characters AREN’T dreaming, they’re components of your dream! My friend and I promised to call each other and talk about the dream. The only problem is, when I woke up i couldn’t remember which friend it was! After that I either lucidly went to an amusement park, but I think I did it unconsciously. I need to find out who was in my dream!

ME!!
I kinda feel bad for all the posts. Am I taking up too much comment space? I just really like to share things and ask questions about lucid dreaming! Well last night I performed my first REALITY CHECK! I pinched my nose and breathed through it! I knew I was dreaming, but… I was excited AT ALL even though I stayed calm, I felt like I was trapped and couldn’t do anything, and everything was either ultra blurry or pitch black. I tried to open my “dream” eyes but I opened my real eyes instead! I’m so close! But do you know why that happened?
Huh?

ME!!
Wow, I sure do have a lot to say about lucid dreaming! Anyway, I keep having this dream… but it’s not much of a nightmare, and it only repeats about once a month. I am on this cliff-like thing that slopes kind of steeply, similar to something in my backyard, but this one is longer. the only other things you can see are some trees and spiny brush on the hill. I’m on this really slippery rock- or something similar- and I think I find a foothold but then I fly into the air and am about to thud on the ground when I am in a campsite. Some people in a section near me were having a fire, but it was really big. From then the dream changes. Anyone know what it means? At the end I was also in a roller coaster, but there was no cover for it and things that were small and insignificant that were important to me flew out, and I jumped out of the roller coaster to get them. Does this mean I’m losing memories of the little things, or something similar? If you know, please answer!
I think I’m Close!

ME!!
Hola, AGAIN! I think i am close to lucid dreaming! I can remember dreams better now- even though last night was the first night I wrote in my dream journal. I got two dreams, one long one (3 pages!), one short one (one page) because I asked my dad to wake me up 6 hours after I fell asleep. Well like I said before, 4 nights ago now I had a lucid dream but woke up right as it started from excitement. My first dream last night was a dream about being a man who was learning to lucid dream. i might have been on a really low level of lucidity, because I knew I was dreaming but I didn’t really KNOW know yet. I just didn’t think much of the thought I’m dreaming. for my second dream, at the end I was looking at a roller coaster and I realized there were some serious problems with it. Right after that I woke up. I think it’s because I became lucid, and got excited, and woke up! Am I close to having my first real official lucid dream?

In Lucid dreams you don’t really feel pain. If you were feeling pain you would stop it.When you become lucid you feel wonderful, and begin to look around and notice a perfect dreamscape. If this is what you did, you were probably Lucid!
I am a born lucid dreamer?

I remember a few years ago I had a few very clear dreams in which I could feel pain, the feeling of falling etc., This was before I had even heard of lucid dreaming. wAS I lucid dreaming?

Me again!!! Well I just attempted WILD from one of the other website links, even though I haven’t really had lucid experiences yet. At first I thought it wasn’t working. But then I felt kind of like I was rolling, or swaying. Green circles surrounded me and were enveloping me. I tried to run into one of them, and I did, but suddenly my eyes moved rapidly under my eyelids. It wouldn’t stop, and the green circle sensation got stronger until I opened my eyes. I felt dizzy and lightheaded when I got up. Was I close?
I remember now!

I remember the third thing I was gonna say. This is a question that I really hope someone will answer: (1) Is it true that when you’re a teen, lucid dreaming gets a lot harder? I don’t want to be 20 and not be able to lucid dream! I have another question now: (2) Last night I woke up (without an alarm) 4 1/2 hours after falling asleep. This was PERFECT (although I didn’t remember my dream.) I stayed awake a bit- but the problem? I couldn’t fall back asleep! Finally I did but I don’t remember my dream at all, even though I didn’t move after getting up. Why?

I know why I had a lucid dream 2 nights ago! I woke up during a period of REM, and even though I didn’t stay up I had a lucid dream! Awesome!
THREE more things!
Monday, 16 August 2010 00:43
ME!!
1. Almost every night I am falling asleep when suddenly I am on a roller coaster. After a few seconds I’m flying off it and I wake up, nearly jumping out of my bed. What is this called again? 2. I think I have had lucid daydreams in the middle of the day. I forget what specific things I was gonna say, but I start daydreaming and I do what I want to do. Like, one time I had a nightmare that I was pursued by bears because they thought my Teddy bear was their cub and then I daydreamed and ended it by showing them it wasn’t their cub. There was another thing I was gonna say but I forget.

Don’t worry, you won’t see someone dead there! YOU choose what YOU want to do! That means that someone that has passed away will not randomly pop up there unless you want them too. If they DO pop up randomly, make them go away! Your first lucid dream will be scary, but in an awesome and exhilarating way. You’ll love it!
Another Thing…
Sunday, 15 August 2010 22:57
Me!!
I just wanted to share my first lucid dream experience. I was on vacation at a relative’s house and my mom got up to let the dog outside. I woke up then, but quickly fell asleep again and was dreaming. I was in a large field with a bus up ahead, and I knew my dad was in that bus, so I started running towards it. Suddenly I stopped and thought, “My dad could be evil, because this is a dream. Wait- I’m dreaming? I’M LUCID DREAMING?!” the experience was so frightening- but in an exhilarating way- that I woke up, but it was AWESOME!!!
Tests

Me!!
I LOVE this guide! Two nights ago I did lucid dream- for the first time!! I got so excited, and instantly I wanted to turn into a cat, but before I could I woke up. Grr… oh well. I will now try to use lucid dreaming for something I have had a problem with for a LONG time: stress. I get so stressed of tests that I cry. So I can study for tests in my dream. I can TAKE the test in my dream, like, a practice test and ta-da! No more stress! I will also practice gymnastics!
But I have 2 questions. (1) For my first lucid dream, I didn’t even think it would happen. I mean, I never keep a dream journal, I rarely try to recall dreams, and I never do reality checks but *poof* I’m in a lucid dream! Is this rare? It seems like it is. (2) Would it be considered cheating if I went and saw an actual test and looked over it? I get so stressed that it would help… okay I guess it would be cheating. Oh well! Maybe if my first lucid dream didn’t need any preparation, I’ll have a second one tonight!

I’m 16 and have known of and experianced lucid dreaming for as long as I remember. Years ago I got into the routines of reality checks and dream joiurnals, but then I stopped and forgot how much fun it was. I’ve still kept a dream journal for the past year and Seeing ‘Inception’ sparked my interest, so I found this site yesterday morning, did the reality checks, and lo and behold, I was woken up two hours two early, and going back to sleep I had my first lucid dream in a long time. It was a wedding reception, I could controll the lights, open/close doors at will, fly, and make celebs appear. Though I couldn’t make anyone disappear and I let myself get swept up in the changing story again. Still, it was so much fun! So much freedom!
yay!

So, seeing the movie Inception, if you realized you were lucid dreaming, and decided to go to sleep, would you be going deeper? like, eventually reaching Limbo?

Become good at lucid dreaming
Monday, 19 July 2010 01:34
Ray
Hello, I have been a lucid dreamer all my life. I only found out what it was called a couple of years ago. If you want to become good at it follow the methods talked about. I did, and over a two month period I was lucid dreaming almost every night; I would plan vacations and places to see during work so that when I went to bed I could go to those places. What a great feeling to be in a dream and do whatever you want and know its just a dream. Happy dreaming.
help please?!?!

I can not wait to lucid dream, but I have one question. Will it be kinda scary and freaky in your first lucid dream? It sounds kinda scary to turn around and see someone from your family who has died. :/
Thanks for this! ![]()

Braeden wants to lucid dream!!!
I tried a different site and it didn’t work so I’ll try this one!
Last night I had a dream that I was Lucid Dreaming.
It sucked because it was so blurry and I got in trouble at my school! >:(
If I record myself saying, “I will have have a Lucid Dream, I will know because I will see my deceased grandad flying!” ( as the sign ) will that influence my brain to make me have a Lucid dream?
I have been doing reality checks for the past 2 days ( its when I found out ) and I’m in a major habbit.. Im even questioning if I’m really typing this message..
What I would do in a lucid dream:
Tuesday, 06 April 2010 23:52
Jake
1.Fly while riding a bycicle, it sounds cool and odd at the same time.
2.Destroy my school with a mech. Google em.
3.Practice talking to girls.
4.Meet Leonard Nemoy, Harrison Ford, and J.R.R Tolkien.

on Talking with Deceased Loved-Ones…
Saturday, 28 November 2009 00:23
Me
Hello, when people ask if one can talk with the deceased in a Lucid Dream, and if that is real or imaginary, and if furthermore it is moral… we can answer:
“I/Many talk to deceased loved-ones in there NORMAL dreams, and sometimes they appear as though they are still alive, and other times they appear as ‘coming from the other-side’, but nevertheless, if it is possible/valid in normal dreams, then why not equally so in Lucid Dreams?”
I wanna do it!

ok, im 12 years old almost 13, and for about a year i have been able to lucid dream! i love it and its better than real life because you can do anything! for example, in my dream i was getting kid napped, and i fought back, then i was let go. after that i thought it would end, but it didn’t. i became fimiliar over the next 3 nights what i could do. flying, walking on walls, going on dates with the girl of my dreams. etc, etc, etc.you can do anything you want, all you have to do is think it
Last night I had my first lucid dream! But i spent it trying to stop myself from waking up. Then I had a false wake up. I asked myself am I dreaming but I thought I Was awake. But still I was lucid dreaming and I know I’ll have more!o(^▽^)o
I took a mid-morning nap at 10:30 this morning and ended up having my first Lucid Dream, which was incredibly weird.
It started when I had a dream that I was checking my Facebook account on a random laptop I found on my bed. I then checked the time and it said “1:39″ and I knew that couldn’t be possible, and I realized I was dreaming!
For years now, I’ve been trying to accomplish lucid dreaming, so I was so happy when I realized I was dreaming that I almost woke myself up… luckily I managed to stay within the dream.
The dream was all black and white, except for the blue facebook logo, and my red lips in the reflection of the computer screen. I’ve read a couple of tips to tell when you are lucid dreaming, which include weird changes in your reflection and changing words in texts and paragraphs, so I experimented by trying to read some facebook statuses and look at my reflection in the computer. I was able to change my face into a woman’s face and then into and old man’s face with saggy skin and everything.
Then it started to get weird, and I would get constant goosebump sensations over and over, and everything was in slow motion. I turned around in my bed in slow motion, and instead of being in my room, I was in a high ceilinged building with a door in the corner.
I then tried to fulfill one of my sexual fanticies, but I could not imagine any ladies up in my dream, so I then had the idea to try to give myself a *******, which ended up working and I gave myself a *******. I know it’s weird, but I was curious, sorry
Then I got intense goosebump sensations again, and I woke up :/
What do you say to yourself to give yourself a in reality “reality check?”

I had a lucid dream last night. Funny story, really. So in this dream I was in a multicolored house. There were some other people i didn’t know with me. Suddenly there was this booming voice that made us jump. “He will not rest until he has gotten everyone in this house!!!” (Keep in mind that this is in a rainbow colored house with sunlight pouring through the empty windows.) Well it turned out that “he” was a gigantic, evil, sea-gull like bird. I hid behind a fireplace grate (no fire was going) and i watched people get plucked out of the house. No blood or anything, but I didn’t exactly want that happening to me. So finally I was like the last person left in and the seagull spotted me. So I ran upstairs all while it was constantly snapping at me. I realized my only hope was to jump out of a three story window. I was standing in the window and I just had this spontaneous thought like “Well as long as I’ll wake up when I fall.” When I thought on that I was like “Okay, when was the last time I saw a giant man-eating seagull that seems to have mysteriously disappeared?” With confidence I jumped out the window and flew off through the air into the rolling hills where I went to this alternate land. I am writing a book right now and I tried to make pictures of the characters, but that I was unsuccessful at.
Well I’ll try again next time! Oh, and another thing. I don’t know if it’s like this for other people, but I tend to have lucid dreams when I’m not trying to hard to have them. Just a little tip for all ya’alls!
okay, here is something any Star Trek fan in a lucid dream MUST try. stand still, cry out, “BEAM ME UP SCOTTY!” (actually, whispering works just as fine too, it’s just more fun to yell it) then next thing you know you’re standing on the transporter pad as Scotty himself welcomes you onboard the Enterprise!!! i don’t know how it would feel for someone else, but for me, the sensation of being transported is an incredible one, you get this tingly feeling as you sort of float through the cieling. and once inside this geek-world, you can meet other characters from it too! i accidentally woke Spock up from a nap! (at which point i giddily wished him to ‘live long and prosper’ \\//) this is something any lucid-dreaming-trekkie must try!
so i had a lucid dream after about 3 nights of trying… i was driving a car….and i was about to crash when i saw a clock on a building wall…only a quick glimpse of the bottom corner but sure enough i snapped right awake….i slammed yelled stop!…(with more swearing) and got out of the car…everything started to go blurry and i was like oh i have to calm down…so i stood there for about 5 minutes calming myself…then i realized…omg im wasting this…so i got back in the car and drove like a maniac… i mean crazy driving coz i knew i couldnt get hurt…it was exhilirating… but i then flashed to an alley and the car stopped on its own…there were 2 people..blurry at first but they had really messed up faces and they came running at me…. i freaked and yelled for them to go away..and they did… then i asked for megan fox to come up just for a joke…and sure enough…she was there… we flashed into a room and… well… just before foreplay i woke up… but i went back to sleep the next night and i didnt lucid dream so i guess i need more practice lol… also i was talking to a couple of friends about it..and to my surprise.. they have been doing it for years…and i only found out about this 2 weeks ago. but i will wait for the next time i lucid dream it was incredible to feel everything… i even hugged megan fox and i felt everything.. it was so weird lol.. i woke up completly numb and exhilirated
I had my first lucid dream this morning! I was trying to fall asleep and when I did I was completely aware of it. In my dream I was still laying in my bed, trying to induce a lucid dream without success. I spent 30 minutes or so to get to sleep again, but it didn’t work, so I went out of bed and saw my girlfriend in my room. Then I realized I was dreaming, because in real life she already left the house an hour ago. I didn’t know a dream could feel so real! I “experimented” a little bit of my “powers” on my gf and had a great time with her. After that I woke up. I wasted most of my dream time on getting back to sleep in my dream.. I really have to remember the reality checks! Also, I noticed it was difficult to remain aware of the dream. After some time I tend to forget I was dreaming. I really had to remind myself it was all just a dream.
Great site btw!
should i be scared of mirror in Lucid Dreams???
REALITY CHECK!!!!
In a dream you usually have more or less than five fingers. Throughout the day i point to each of my fingers while counting out loud 1 2 3 4 5!
This technique has worked VERY well for me.
There is also a free iPad/iPod app on lucid dreaming reminding me to do reality checks. It has a message that says “Am I dreaming?” but if you click on the symbol in the bottom right, you can change the message. I changed mine to, “COUNT YOUR FINGERS!!!!!”
